sauna OOO FUKUOKA(Hakata,Fukuoka)

Introducing a private sauna experience in Hakata, Fukuoka, one of Japan’s top tourist destinations! Private saunas operate on a time-based rental system, allowing both men and women to enjoy within the specified capacity. Reservation is essential through the website, offering a hassle-free way to relax with friends without worrying about unique sauna rules, like tattoo restrictions, commonly found in Japanese sauna culture. Enjoy the carefree atmosphere of a private sauna!

Great choice! “Sauna OOO FUKUOKA” sounds fantastic. This is the second store in the same chain as “sauna OOO TOKYO” that I introduced earlier. a relatively new sauna facility opened in May 2023 is a refreshing way to enjoy some quality time, especially when switching from a guys’ reunion to a family outing. How was the experience with your family?

Sounds like a prime location! Being situated in Nakasu, Fukuoka City’s entertainment district, adds an extra layer of excitement. The abundance of dining options in the area ensures that post-sauna meals won’t disappoint. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and vibrant surroundings. What dining spot caught your eye after the sauna session?

A one-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the subway Kuko or Hakozaki line. That’s incredibly convenient! Accessibility makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. Did you find the location easy to reach, or was there anything noteworthy during the stroll to the sauna?

Fukuoka‘s specialty includes its vibrant food stalls! Surprisingly, Fukuoka holds around 40% of all street food stalls in Japan. With a long-standing tradition of famous stalls, efforts to preserve this cultural gem include infrastructure improvements like power and drainage systems. If you find yourself in Hakata, be sure to drop by and experience the charm of these stalls!

Sauna OOO FUKUOKA” is located in this building! Facing a major street, it’s an unbelievably convenient spot for a sauna, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of cars and crowds. A sauna trip right in the midst of the urban buzz!

“Sauna OOO FUKUOKA” is at ●●●!! Tricky to spot, isn’t it? 😄 Head to the 6th floor using the elevator!

By the way, this private sauna operates on a strict reservation-only basis. You can make reservations through their website. The reservation process is detailed in the article about “Sauna OOO TOKYO,” so feel free to check that out for guidance!

Once you step off the elevator, it looks like this. There’s no reception for “Sauna OOO FUKUOKA.” After reserving, use the passcode sent to you on the entrance tablet. When I visited, I was a bit early, and upon entering the code, a staff member kindly opened the door from the inside, assuring me it was okay to come in.

Upon entering, it’s like, “Wow!” The interior resembles a designer resort hotel, making you forget the hustle and bustle of the nearby street. “Sauna OOO FUKUOKA” offers three types of private saunas. Let’s head to the reserved room!

The rooms are ○ Room, △ Room, and ⬜ Room, each with the following prices and maximum capacity:

○ Room: ¥6,500 for 2 hours, +¥2,500 per additional person (Maximum 4 people)
△ Room: ¥6,000 for 2 hours, +¥2,500 per additional person (Maximum 2 people)
⬜ Room: ¥9,000 for 2 hours, +¥3,000 per additional person (Maximum 6 people)

This time, I reserved the ⬜ Room!

Entering the ⬜ Room gives off this ambiance! The lighting is dim, mostly indirect. It’s a calming space, creating a pleasant contrast after strolling the bright streets. In the room, you’ll find a washbasin, two reclining chairs, a tatami relaxation area in the back, as well as a sauna, cold plunge, and shower booth. Just a heads up, there’s no toilet inside; it’s in the shared area outside the room.

Ensure to manually lock the room door securely.

Here’s the washbasin area! It’s well-equipped with amenities like cleansing oil and a hairbrush. You’ll find everything you need for makeup removal and touch-ups here. A thoughtful setup that both men and women can appreciate!

This is the back relaxation area. It’s about the size of two tatami mats, where 2-3 adults can comfortably stretch out. With two reclining chairs, it seems like a laid-back space for around 4 people to unwind. There are cushions too, making it an ideal spot to relax after a sauna session!

Here’s the cold plunge. It’s separated from the tatami relaxation area by glass. The floor is elevated to the level of tatami, creating a wooden deck. Although not overly spacious, the cold plunge has enough room for a single person to comfortably soak. You can control the water flow yourself, providing a customizable experience.

Here’s the shower! Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are all provided, and the scents are amazing! There are two types of showers—regular and overhead. Overhead showers are not common in Japan, so it adds a luxurious touch. It’s a great recommendation to shower under the overhead after the sauna session!

Here’s the entrance to the sauna! The sophisticated vibe of the shower room’s walls creates a nice contrast with the sauna’s wooden walls. I love the combination of a chic setting with natural elements—a delightful contrast. Now, let’s step into the sauna!

Here’s the sauna interior! It’s quite dim with only indirect lighting. The foreground has tatami, and in the back, there’s a low bench-like structure with a stove in the center. The photo might not convey it well, but the space is just enough for barely fitting four adults, creating an intimate sauna experience.

Looking at it this way, it seems like a space perfect for intense mental focus! (laughs) The walls feature wood and partially textured plaster, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a tea room. Clearly designed for self-reflection while gradually raising body temperature—it’s an ideal space for that purpose.

By the way, the moment you step into this sauna room, it’s intensely hot. Wondering how much, you check the thermometer—surprisingly, it’s over 110 degrees!!! It’s definitely scorching. With the option for self-pouring water, you can set it to an impressively high temperature!

By the way, I like lying down here. The lower part feels around 90 degrees, I guess? Sleeping in a sauna is not something you can do every day, right?! It’s incredibly relaxing at just the right temperature. But, it’s really important to emphasize: sleeping in the sauna is a big no-no! Safety first!

After getting sufficiently heated in the sauna, it’s time to firm up the body in the cold plunge, then relax in the reclining chair!!! It can almost recline to 180 degrees. Pure bliss~~~!

By the way, “Sauna OOO FUKUOKA” provides about two bath towels, so after taking a dip in the cold plunge, it’s good to wipe off the water from your body before resting. It enhances the relaxation experience!

This is the sauna room in the ○ Room↑↑, a photo I grabbed from the website, so it’s probably darker in reality. Still, it looks like an incredibly stylish sauna room! Intriguing, isn’t it?

Here’s the △ Room’s appearance. Despite being the smallest room, the tatami relaxation space and the size of the cold plunge seem quite ample for two people! I’d definitely like to give this room a try too!

How was “Sauna OOO FUKUOKA”? The notable differences from “Sauna OOO TOKYO,” such as the absence of a café space and reception, might be a matter of personal preference. In my opinion, the simplicity in design for an urban sauna facility is quite appealing. The ease of web reservations and a streamlined entry process without face-to-face reception adds a nice touch to the experience.

Also, as mentioned earlier, if you happen to visit this area in Fukuoka, be sure to indulge in the local cuisine! It’s considered one of the top dining districts in Japan. Enjoy not only the sauna but also the delightful food offerings that Fukuoka has to offer!
