After sauna meal (Sauna center)

Last time, I introduced you to the Sauna Center, the oldest sauna facility in Tokyo! Its location, sauna rooms, cold-water baths, and rest areas are all amazing, and it’s no wonder it’s considered the sacred place of Tokyo saunas!

This time, I would like to introduce one of the major attractions of the Sauna Center, which is its dining hall!”

The Sauna Center allows you to move between floors in your facility attire. Until you exit the facility, you can enter and exit the sauna rooms multiple times. So, you can enter the sauna once, have a meal in the dining hall during your break, take a rest in the relaxation room, and then go back to the sauna. It’s truly a facility where you can enjoy yourself all day long!

Now, let me introduce the dining hall located on the 5th floor.

Here is the dining hall ↑↑

The interior has a nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of Japan in the 1980s. It’s quite cozy and provides a calming ambiance. The dining hall is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. As there are guests staying at the capsule hotel as well, it opens early in the morning. In addition to meals, they also serve alcohol.

↑↑ Here is the menu. I understand it’s in Japanese and you may not be able to read it, but the prices are quite reasonable.

By the way, if you’re looking for a hearty meal, I recommend the “Teishoku-set”!!!!!!! For 250 yen, you get rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small side dish. You can choose one main dish along with the “Teishoku-set” to have a satisfying meal!

Let me list a few recommended menu items and their prices for you. You can simply read them out to place your order.

◼️Ham egg:400yen
◼️Teishoku-set:250yen

The Ham and Egg Teishoku is a specialty of the Sauna Center’s dining hall! In Japan, it’s common to eat ham and eggs together with rice. This ham and egg dish is simple and straightforward, without any unusual elements, but it tastes surprisingly delicious after a sauna session! After using the sauna, your senses become heightened, making it easier to appreciate the flavors and enjoy the food more than usual.

◼️Teishoku-set:250yen
One of the classic staples of Japanese teishoku is the Shoga yaki Teishoku! It’s a dish where pork and vegetables are marinated in a sweet and savory sauce made from soy sauce, ginger, and sugar, and then grilled. It pairs wonderfully with rice! This is a must-try dish when you visit Japan. It’s a taste that represents the everyday flavor enjoyed by the common people and is not commonly found in restaurants.

↑↑Certainly! Ordering the Ginger Pork as a standalone dish and pairing it with drinks makes for a great combination as well! The flavorful and tender ginger-infused pork goes well with various alcoholic beverages, such as beer or sake.

◼️Curry rice:800yen
I personally believe that the most delicious curry in the world is Japanese home-style curry rice! It’s a popular dish in Japan that you might not find readily available in restaurants. So, this is a great opportunity to try it out! The rich and flavorful curry, served with a bed of rice, is a comforting and satisfying meal. I also recommend trying the Katsu Curry, which is topped with a breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet. It’s a fantastic combination! Enjoying a hot plate of curry after a sauna session can be quite invigorating and satisfying for both the body and soul!

◼️Saba-tatsuta:400yen
Fried mackerel is a dish where mackerel fillets are marinated in soy sauce, ginger, and other seasonings, coated in batter, and deep-fried. It’s a flavorful and crispy seafood option. It pairs well with both rice and beer, making it a versatile choice. Whether you’re looking for a satisfying meal or a tasty snack to enjoy with your drink, the fried mackerel at the Sauna Center’s dining hall is a great option.

◼️Gyoza(6pcs):400yen
Yes, Japanese gyoza is quite popular worldwide! Japanese-style dumplings have gained recognition and are enjoyed by many people around the globe. The combination of juicy filling and crispy pan-fried wrapper makes them incredibly delicious. Just like you mentioned, gyoza goes well with both rice and beer, making it a versatile and enjoyable dish. The recommended pairing of gyoza with beer is indeed a classic and delightful choice!

This dish, the Demiglace Sauce Hamburg, is another representation of the flavors found in Japanese home-cooked meals.Teishoku Set is recommended.

Indeed, you can also order ramen! Having ramen after a sauna session is truly a delightful experience. It’s a comforting and satisfying meal that can help replenish your energy and warm you up. Today, let’s forget about the word “diet” and indulge in the deliciousness of ramen.

Thank you for highlighting the dining hall at “Sauna Center” this time.
